Lobster bakes can be either 6 hrs / 8 hrs 2 people 1300 / 1600 3 people 1400 / 1700 4 people 1500 / 1800 5 people 1600 / 1900 6 people 1700 / 2000 We usually go around Owl's Head Light nibbling cheeses as we sail down channel amidst the Muscle Ridge Islands to land on one or another uninhabited islands and cook the freshest lobster and local corn to accompany homemade local salads with homemade pie and tea or coffee on the way home.
We sail past lighthouses and islands to land on a beachy island (on the 8 hr trip) or a nearer beautiful wooded rocky island (on the 6 hr) with possibilities for a hike/eat/sail combo! This is an amazing trip usually resplendent with lifetime memories. We provide a cheese platter on the sail out, and have dessert on the sail back to Rockland, because usually people are full from eating one or two lobsters a piece (did we mention it is impossible to have lobster fresher than we have it, unless you cook it on the lobsterboat, which would smell like bait!) Maine has a lot of locally grown food, and we put out potato/pasta and green salads as well as butter for your corn, melted butted for your lobster, all on real plates and glasses, cloth napkins, with ice water and whatever other beverages you'd like. There's time for a stroll or a hike with a longer trip, or a swim or some time looking at stones and shells or lazing on the beach. Fresh coffee and fresh pie of the season finishes it off on the sail back, until when you finally step back ashore in Rockland, we guarantee complete contentment. |

Magic Sky Tours
Pricing based on sail time as previously described trips Sunsets on the water are special and the night skies are mesmerizing. Together, they're magic. You can see the full sky, and the ocean glows in concert with the changing colors. As the colors deepen, the stars begin to twinkle and twilight's show dims to the dark velvet of dusk. Lighthouses swing their signal across the bay and the water shimmers with shore lights and town glow. Talking feels loud, and there is a tingly magic and warm camaraderie to being member of the lucky few that get to experience a summer night on the water in Maine.
Rockland Harbor is wonderfully situated to sail out by the lighthouses, and return into the sunset as the moon rises behind us. Awesome stars, great moon. Sometimes the water shimmers with phosphorescence as it moves by the boat. Moon rises work well a day or two before, or the day of the full moon. On the day before the full moon, the moon rises about 20mins before sunset, then, the day of the full moon, it rises just after sunset, and, the day after the full moon, it rises 50 mins after sunset. Standard rates apply for length of sail, we don't charge extra for the sun to set or moon to rise, just more wonders of our marvelous world! We do know how to get you to the best spots at the best time to see those wonders and share them with you! |
