Enjoyed a day that kept me in a tee shirt and flipflops. Went for a two hour sail with my daughter and niece, no passengers, one last loop of the harbor with a bit of piling slalom thrown in. (Where the docks would be there is empty space to go through along the waterfront.) Then in about an hour, the crew of five and seven year o;d girls helped me get the sails off, and the booms and gaff on deck. A few more bits of readyness and the boatyard willl haul her out on Tuesday and bring her home for me to get going on the winter work. More about that later... Fun too, when I came home from the boat endeavors, there was a dozen people in my dooryard having a cider squeezing party! Gotta love Maine.
Captain Daniel Bennett rebuilt Bufflehead, maintains and sails her, sharing the experiences and the delights of sailing her with all who come aboard, and maybe here with others too.
